Fox Sports talking head Colin Cowherd is known for making bold takes on his show, including a recent one in which he states that the Indianapolis Colts should look to get a new quarterback. In this case, he believes that they should draft Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

It's an interesting take on the QB position in Indy since Jacoby Brissett has taken over as the starter ever since Andrew Luck's surprise retirement in August. However, it could happen. Especially if Brissett is unable to improve his play down the stretch.

Over the last four weeks, Brissett has guided his team to a 2-2 record and has thrown one touchdown to one interception during that stretch. It's a significant dip from his 14 touchdowns to three interceptions in the six games he played prior to this current stretch. Granted, he has struggled with injuries and missed the game against the Miami Dolphins.

However, if the Colts do abide by Cowherd's suggestion, then they would be drafting a quarterback that's coming off of a serious hip injury that has already ended his season. There's no denying that the left-handed thrower in Tuscaloosa is an improvement over the conservative play of Brissett from what he's shown at Alabama. But the injury is still severe and something to look into.

Brissett can still change the narrative of the Colts quarterback position with some improvement in the final five games of the season. But if he can't, then he will become a bridge quarterback for the next man that will come to Indianapolis and could bring the end of the Brissett era in Indy.
