Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Denico Autry has been fined $13,369 for unsportsmanlike conduct, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. This happened during last weekend’s playoff matchup between the Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs.

This penalty occurred after Autry celebrated a bit too much after sacking Patrick Mahomes at the tail-end of the third quarter, as he thrust his pelvis twice right in front of an official. It was almost as if he was asking for a penalty.

The Colts ended up losing that game to the Chiefs by a score of 31-13. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck had a subpar game against the Chief’s defense, only throwing for 203 yards and one touchdown. However, Mahomes didn’t play that well either. Even though he did throw for 278 yards he only accounted for one rushing touchdown.

Chiefs head coach Andy Ried had nothing but positive things to say about Luck after the game.

Ried told Chiefs.com:

“He’s had a great year and you’ve got to stay persistent with him. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that we’re going to do this and that, but you’ve got to bring your best against him and do the best you possibly can every play. He’s going to get you every once in a while, but you’ve got to make sure you get him more than he gets you.”

During the regular season, the Colts had a huge comeback in the second half of the season. They won eight our their last ten games after the bye week. They finished the season with a 10-6 record earning the second spot in the AFC South Division. They ended up beating the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round but weren’t able to capitalize on their recent success.
