Chris Ballard and the Indianapolis Colts are heading into a big offseason. After making an impressive run to the playoffs after beginning the season 1-5, Indianapolis is projected to have massive amounts of cap space. That being said, Ballard is not going to go spend crazy and will instead focus on finding good fits.

In an interview shared by Pro Football Talk, Ballard talked about the kind of players that he will be searching for this coming offseason.

“All the great players, and I just looked at them and I said, ‘You know what is consistent with those guys? They are good dudes, they are good guys, they are good teammates.' They connected, they all have relationships with each other. That resonated with me. In my mindset, it’s always something you want and you strive for, but to me, that really cemented it that day.”

This quote is hot on the heels of quotes that Ballard made about the Colts not having interest in guys like Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. That comment shocked quite a few fans.

Indianapolis is one of the top young teams in the NFL. Andrew Luck and company proved that they are going to be a team to be reckoned with for years to come. If Ballard can find a few more good players to add to the roster, the Colts are going to be tough to beat in 2019.

Ballard's comments should tame the Colts' fan base in terms of expectations for the upcoming offseason. Due to the amount of cap room the team has, many have expected to Colts to spend big.

As of right now, the Colts will likely focus on bringing in good players with good attitudes rather than trying to bring in star power.
