C.J. Mosley is one of the top defensive players on the open market this offseason, and the Indianapolis Colts are one of the latest teams to express interest in the free-agent linebacker, according to NFL Network.
The Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, and Arizona Cardinals have all also been linked to Mosley.
Mosley is coming off of a 2018 campaign with the Baltimore Ravens in which he played 15 games and registered 105 tackles, a half of a sack, an interception, and five passes defended.
The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Ravens in the first round (17th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
He immediately started all 16 games during his rookie season, racking up 151 tackles, three sacks, a couple of picks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and eight passes defended en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.
Then, the following year, Mosley once again appeared in all 16 contests and totaled 117 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, a pair of fumble recoveries, seven passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.
Mosley then proceeded to make another trip to Honolulu in 2016, tallying 92 stops, four interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and eight passes defended.
He followed that up with yet another Pro Bowl selection in 2017 courtesy of 132 tackles, a sack, two picks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, seven passes defended, and a defensive score.
Mosley has also been a very durable player throughout his NFL career, missing just three games total.
