Kenny Moore and Pierre Desir of the Indianapolis Colts donated thousands of dollars to a Go Fund Me account for the funeral services of Madi Moore, a young fan who passed away earlier this week, according to Dana Hunsinger Benbow of the Indianapolis Star.

Madi Moore, 17, died on Monday morning at Indiana University's Riley Hospital for Children from complications related to Luekemia. She was diagnosed with acute myloid Leukemia in January 2018. A stem cell transplant in August briefly left her cancer free, but she subsequently suffered from graft-versus-host disease, causing her donor stem cells to be rejected.

On April 20, Madi Moore was one of three patients from IU children's hospital chosen to assist in announcing the Colts' fourth and fifth-round draft picks. Kenny Moore and Desir were at her side live on NFL Network as she read the selections, despite having undergone treatment earlier in the day.

“It might help inspire other kids to keep pushing,” she said at the time.

Kenny Moore and Desir donated $3,298 and $3,297 to the Go Fund Me account, well over half its goal of $10,500. The drive ended up raising $11,500.

Kenny Moore reacted to Madi Moore's passing on twitter, highlighting her “day-brightening smile.”

“Just want to send my condolences to the Moore family. I pray for strength for you all during this tough time. I’ll remember Madison for her day-brightening smile on draft day,” he wrote.

Desir offered his condolences to Madi Moore's family, too, addressing her directly.

“Sad day today. I want to give my deepest condolences to the Moore family,” he wrote. “Madi, it was an honor to meet you and spend that day with you during the draft. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Rest In Peace, Madison.”

Details on memorial services for Madi Moore have yet to be announced.
