The Indianapolis Colts are shuffling around their running back depth chart again. The team has placed D'Onta Foreman on injured reserve and they've signed Charcandrick West to take his place, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle tweets that Foreman is dealing with a torn biceps that will sideline him for around four months. Since he's being placed on injured reserve before rosters cut down to 53, he won't be eligible to return in 2019.

It's another tough blow for the former University of Texas star, who has already had brutal injury luck. The Texans drafted him in the third round back in 2017, and there was initially a ton of hype around him.

He looked promising during his rookie season, but then he tore his Achilles toward the end of that year. He wasn't able to recover quickly, and he ended up playing in only one game in 2018.

Houston surprisingly cut him earlier this month, and he was quickly swooped up by the Colts. He undeniably had a lot of potential, but the window is unfortunately going to start closing on him soon if he can't make it back on the field.

The Colts lost Spencer Ware for the season a while back, so they've been looking for added backfield depth. West spent the first five years of his career with the Chiefs, mostly being used as a pass-catching back.

Indy also has Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Jordan Wilkins locked in ahead of him, so West likely won't be playing too much if he makes the team.
