Jonathan Taylor left the Indianapolis Colts game against the Minnesota Vikings early after suffering an ankle injury. Taylor's return is questionable, per Adam Schefter. Taylor's ankle, which has bothered him all season, is being looked at, per Nate Atkins.

UPDATE: Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out for the remainder of the Colts-Vikings game, per Adam Schefter.

Taylor has been hampered by injuries throughout the year. After a 2021 campaign that saw him garner MVP attention, 2022 has been a struggle for the Colts' star running back. He's rushed for over 860 yards on the season to go along with 4 rushing touchdowns. Taylor's added 27 receptions and 130 receiving yards in the passing attack.

However, Jonathan Taylor rushed for over 1,800 yards last year. He added a career-high 18 rushing touchdowns for the Colts. Indianapolis was hopeful that he'd be able to produce similar production in 2022. But as aforementioned, injury concerns have limited his overall productivity.

Nevertheless, the Colts are leading the Vikings 23-0 despite Jonathan Taylor's ankle injury as of this story's publication. This game is especially important for Jeff Saturday, who is hoping to take over full-time coaching duties next season.

“Asked today about this, Jeff Saturday makes this clear: he wants to coach full-time, and plans on interviewing for the Colts’ head coach opening this January, ‘if they’ll have me.’ Despite the rocky last few weeks, it’s convinced him this is what he wants to do,” Zak Keefer wrote on Twitter.

Saturday and the Colts are certainly hopeful that Jonathan Taylor's injury will be nothing of the long-term variety.
