Philip Rivers, the new Indianapolis Colts quarterback, is already making his presence felt in preparation for the team's return to the Lucas Oil Stadium later this year. He has been conducting player-only workouts and is helping get the Colts back in form as he prepares what will be the first season away from the Los Angeles Chargers since they acquired him in 2004.

The 38-year old veteran has been taking players under his wing and one of them is former 6th-round pick Dezmon Patmon, according to Joel A. Erickson of Indy Star.

Patmon will have his work cut out for him as he will try to lock down the final wide receiver spot. With T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman Jr., Parris Campbell, and Zach Pascal, the Colts are pretty set in the role. It's up to Patmon to prove whether or not, he is up to the task.

At 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Patmon said in an interview that he's still working on learning how to take advantage of his size in securing his slot in the 53-man roster.

In his time at Washington State, Patmon appeared in 43 games with 12 starts for the Cougars. The rookie will definitely be hoping he gets as much playing time with the Colts in the NFL.
