There are only a few NFL players with names as unique as Rock Ya-Sin. However, the rookie isn't only making his impact on the Indianapolis Colts with his name.

He has played two games with the Colts and the entire team has nothing but good things to say about him. The first-year cornerback from Temple will become an important part of the Colts defense if this continues.

Per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

“Rock has done very well,” Colts coach Frank Reich said. “He’s physical and aggressive. He’s a really smart player. We’re really excited about the progress that he’s made.”

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, with the two teams clashing on Sunday, also praised the rookie for his on-field performance.

“He’s done a nice job, he really has,” Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said.

Ya-Sin has only notched five tackles in the two games he played for the Colts. However, his intangibles and the things he does on defense makes him an important part of the Colts secondary.

Ya-Sin explained why he's playing the way he is at the moment:

“Just the competitiveness,” Ya-Sin said. “The ability to be one-on-one with people and not be afraid to be one on one. Not asking for help or needing help. It’s the mentality that you believe in yourself that you can go against anybody and get it done, one-on-one.”

Ya-Sin has a bright career ahead of him if he continues on the path he's taking. Everyone loves a high-energy player who brings it to the offense every snap. He can become the defensive anchor if he continues to grow as a professional.
