The Indianapolis Colts are currently dealing with a multitude of injuries at the wide receiver position. However, there is still a chance that T.Y. Hilton could play against the Houston Texans when the two teams face off on Thursday Night Football.

According to George Bremer of CNHI Indiana, Hilton will be active against the Texans ‘if all the boxes are checked off' but there are still ‘two more to go.' There will be a need for clearance from the team's doctors, general manager Chris Ballard, and head coach Frank Reich.

Both the Colts and Texans hold a 6-4 record heading into their matchup with each other. The winner of this game will greatly improve their odds of winning the AFC South division title, which in turn would result in one of the top four playoff spots in the AFC playoff picture.

Hilton has appeared in six games this season and has totaled 360 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 32 receptions. His impact as the Colts' top receiving threat has been sorely missed while he has been sidelined but would be even more so troubling to be without it against their division rival.

A win in Week 12 is especially important for the Colts because they still have to take on their other two AFC South opponents in addition to matchups with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. Basically, it won't be easy to outpace the Texans in the win column if they lose.

Updates about Hilton's status for Thursday Night Football are expected to come closer to the time of kickoff.
