The Indianapolis Colts are slated to take on the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs on primetime in Week 5. Unfortunately, it seems they still have yet to return to full strength on offense.

While wide receiver T.Y. Hilton went into Week 4 with a quad injury, running back Marlon Mack wound up leaving with an ankle injury. According to Josh Alper of ProFootball Talk, both players were notably absent from practice.

Hilton had company on the sideline Wednesday. Running back Marlon Mack sat out with the ankle injury he picked up against Oakland.

Their absence is hardly an encouraging sign for their status in Week 5. Head coach Frank Reich did express some optimism regarding Hilton's recovery from the lingering quad issue, however, it remains to be seen whether or not he will be able to make his return. Meanwhile, Mack indicated that his lack of involvement after picking up the injury was the coach's decision.

Regardless, it is safe to assume that the Colts are simply taking a cautious approach with their recovery. After all, they are undoubtedly two of the most integral pieces on offense outside of quarterback Jacoby Brissett. The prospect of both of them further aggravating their injuries would deal a devastating blow to this group.

There is no question that the offense lost an element of explosiveness against the Raiders with Hilton out. The Colts will need to be at full strength if they hope to keep up with this high-scoring Chiefs offense that recently welcomed back its No. 1 wideout in Tyreek Hill to practice.
