The Indianapolis Colts were in desperate need of a big play with their offense struggling against the Browns. Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was more than willing to oblige.

Rodgers was able to provide a much-needed spark for the Colts with a 101-yard kick return to the house, via NFL Twitter:

The touchdown return from Rodgers helped to close the gap for the Colts versus the Browns and potentially make it a game heading down the final stretch. It is safe to say that he also may have etched out a new role for himself as a full-time return man.

Rodgers was taken in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has largely played a reserve role in the secondary to start the season for the Colts. He had also dabbled in special teams with two kick returns for 56 yards and one punt return for 12 yards.

It will be interesting to see if the play leads to more opportunities for Rodgers with the Colts.
