The NFL world was gutted earlier this morning when news broke out about Dwayne Haskins' tragic death. Haskins, a former draft pick of the Washington Commanders, was hit by a truck on the freeway while he pulled over, resulting in his demise. The news was a gut-wrenching blow to many players around the league.

One of his former Commanders teammates wrote a heartfelt message for him after his death. Terry McLaurin, a former teammate of Dwayne Haskins in Ohio State and Washington, shared a beautiful letter for the latter on Twitter. In it, he commended his departed friend, saying he was one of the hardest workers in the league.

Haskins was drafted by the Commanders (then known as the Redskins) back in 2019, after an immaculate college campaign for the Buckeyes. He was a Heisman finalist, a Rose Bowl MVP, and held many QB records in Ohio State. Haskins would then go to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 and was named the third-string QB behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.

Entering the 2022 season, Haskins was poised to compete for the vacated QB spot on the Steelers after Roethlisberger's retirement and the team's acquisition of Mitch Trubisky. Unfortunately, his career met an early end, and we were robbed of Haskins' best days.
