Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns expects to be ready for the 2019 season after undergoing surgery for a dislocated ankle that he suffered in the team's NFC Wild Card game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Hurns received a lot of attention during the game after the gruesome injury, but the Cowboys were able to keep their focus in picking up the 24-22 victory over the Seahawks.

Now, with Hurns set for what will likely be a long rehab process, Dallas will move forward to try to make a return to the Super Bowl.

However, even with a brutal injury, Hurns is already declaring that he'll be ready to play by next season.

From Jane Slater of NFL Network:

#Cowboys WR Allen Hurns tells me they finished surgery on his broken fibula and “I’ll be good to go by the beginning of the season” Teammate Tavon Austin told me a few guys were going to try and see him today

It's never easy for a team to keep its attention on the field after a teammate goes down with such a significant injury, but the Cowboys managed to put enough offense together to get the win.

Jason Garrett's squad will now turn their attention to next weekend's matchup against either the New Orleans Saints or Los Angeles Rams, depending on how Sunday's game between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles shakes out.

Either way, the Cowboys should have a lot of momentum heading into the divisional round.
