Dallas Cowboys wide receiver enjoyed a bit of a resurgence in the 2018 NFL season. He appears to be happy to be far removed from the Oakland Raiders.

Cooper was recently asked what it is he misses about being in Oakland. Following a long pause, he finally managed to give a concise, cliche answer during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show:

“I miss my teammates,” Cooper said.

The prospect of Cooper missing his old teammates is certainly understandable. After all, they had nothing to do with the struggles he endured while still in Oakland. The coaching staff and front office appear to be a different matter entirely for him.

Cooper had established himself as one of the most promising, young wideouts in the league with the Raiders. The former No. 4 pick was selected to two Pro Bowls while serving as the go-to option for quarterback Derek Carr. Regardless, it quickly became evident upon head coach Jon Gruden's arrival that no player was safe from the looming changes.

Cooper had been in the midst of a disastrous 2018 campaign before he was finally traded to Dallas in exchange for a first-round pick. While it may have seemed like a high price to pay at the time, he was quickly able to justify the move after being named to his third Pro Bow.

The 25-year-old will always have a soft spot for those he shared a locker room with in Oakland. Regardless, it is safe to assume that he is happy with the way things worked out.
