The Dallas Cowboys have been working on a new contract with Dak Prescott. Regardless of his contract, a certain NFL analyst believes Prescott is undervalued.

According to Nate Burleson of NFL Network, Prescott is extremely “undervalued” as an individual player in the NFL. The Cowboys quarterback probably wishes more people like Burleson would say things like that to accelerate his new contract.

“The most undervalued individual, it has to be Dak Prescott,” Burleson said, per 247 Sports. “Forget about the playoff appearances in the last couple years, forget about the fourth-quarter comebacks. How about just the simple number of wins? Since he's been in the league in 2016, second-most QB wins with 32. So with all this conversation about ‘should they pay Dak Prescott? How much are they going to pay Dak Prescott? Is it in the 20s? Is it in the 30s?' When you look at what he's been able to do versus the guys that are already getting paid big dollar signs…”

The Cowboys lucked out when Prescott fell to them with the 135th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Since then, Prescott has led Dallas to 32 wins and one playoff victory.

Prescott's stats have also been quite impressive over the last three seasons. The Cowboys' Pro Bowl quarterback has thrown for an average of 3,625 yards, 22 touchdowns, and eight interceptions per season.

Among all of the young quarterbacks in the NFL, Prescott's name is rarely mentioned as one of the best. Nonetheless, Prescott will always have Burleson in his corner as a fan of his game.
