Although Amari Cooper is one of the better receivers in the league, the Dallas Cowboys are likely to cut him from the roster. The front office will be able to gain a ton of money, allowing Dallas to add more players to the team. Due to Cooper's situation, Michael Gallup has become a priority signing for this franchise.
According to Mike Garafolo, the Cowboys are all-in on re-signing Gallup despite his injury concerns. He suffered a clean ACL tear in his left knee, but everyone involved is confident he'll bounce back. So, even though Dallas will be losing Amari Cooper, they'll still have a formidable duo in CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup.
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork: The #Cowboys are confident in WR Michael Gallup’s medicals after his torn ACL and that’s why they’re working to close out a long-term deal that would pay Gallup over $10 million per season. pic.twitter.com/TrpDl3ZOhR

Furthermore, it sounds like Dallas is interested to bring Cedrick Wilson back as well. He proved to be a reliable third option after Gallup fell to injury and seems to have gained the trust of the coaching staff. This gives the Cowboys three solid wide receivers being paid less money than Cooper. At the end of the day, this is looking more and more like a smart business decision for Jerry Jones and this franchise.
We'll see how the rest of the offseason plays out. Dallas has put themselves in a position to make numerous upgrades while retaining the main core of the roster. The Cowboys should remain as a top player in the NFC East, as this team is loaded from top to bottom.
Keep an eye on the Cowboys as the front office looks to be heavily involved throughout the offseason.
