Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is getting ready to interview for several head coaching jobs this week and one of his standouts has endorsed him for taking that next step.

Micah Parsons, who is a clear favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, had this to say about Quinn. Via Jon Machota of The Athletic:

“I think Q just found a way to touch everyone in our defensive room's heart. I think he found a way for all us to play for him, to fight for him. Some things are just more than football and I think that's what Q represents. It's never just football with Q. I think if he was 30 years younger, he'd throw on some pads and fight with us every day of the week. I think that's always special. He's a hands-on coach. He really made sure you understood everything that was going on. He didn't go without anything being understood, so I think that's what Q did best.”

Quite the praise from Micah Parsons for his Cowboys coach. Quinn will interview with the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, and Minnesota Vikings. While Dallas only ranked 19th in defense, they allowed the seventh-least amount of points per game and improved immensely under Quinn from 2020. He also had another standout performer on the Cowboys' defense in Trevon Diggs, who led the NFL with 11 interceptions.

It feels like it's time for Dan Quinn to get the chance to have his own team again after six seasons at the helm in Atlanta previously.
