The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Denver Broncos by a pretty huge margin in Dak Prescott's return, but team owner Jerry Jones isn't making a big deal out of it.

While the Cowboys went down 30-16 in what was expected to be another win for them as they try to assert their dominance in the NFC East, Jones acknowledged that the Broncos really prepared for Prescott. The star QB completed just 19 of 39 passes for 232 yards, and while he had two touchdowns, he also threw one interception.

“I thought they had a good plan against Dak and executed it well. We needed some plays to happen. … Certainly it’s inexplicable … They played an outstanding football game against what we think is a good football team, and that’s the Dallas Cowboys,” Jones said after the Week 9 loss, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.

The Cowboys owner, however, is keeping a positive mindset despite the latest setback. After all, he knows what his team is capable of after a hot start to the season. The latest defeat dropped Dallas to 6-2, but they are still on top of the division and well poised to make the playoffs.

“I’ve seen us play well, and we’re capable of righting this ship and playing winning football,” Jerry Jones added.

Dallas plays the Atlanta Falcons next, which should be a good opportunity for Prescott and Co. to bounce back and return to the winning column. Of course as the Broncos showed them, they can't be too complacent.
