Randall Cobb hasn't known any other team than the Green Bay Packers since entering the NFL back in 2011, but now, he will have to get accustomed to some new threads.

The wide receiver signed with the Dallas Cowboys earlier this offseason, ending an eight-year tenure with the Packers.

As for Cobb's feelings about Green Bay? Let's just say he's hoping the Cowboys do more for him than the Packers did:

“It’s like the ex-girlfriend that broke up with you,” Cobb said, according to Jason Wilde of The Wisconsin State Journal. “When you see her five years later, you hope you’re in a better situation than you were before — married, with kids, and you’re able to say, ‘Yeah, I did better without you.'”

Of course, that is going to be difficult, as it seems pretty clear that Cobb is past his prime.

The 28-year-old is coming off of a rocky 2018 campaign in which he played just nine games due to injuries, catching 38 passes for 383 yards and a couple of touchdowns. That marked his least productive year since his rookie season.

Cobb, who played his collegiate football at the University of Kentucky, was originally selected by Green Bay in the second round (64th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

He had a quiet rookie year and then began to show his potential in 2012, hauling in 80 receptions for 954 yards and eight scores. Then, after an injury-plagued 2013, Cobb had the best year of his career in 2014, snaring 91 balls for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The Maryville, Tn. native has been in steady decline ever since.
