The Dallas Cowboys cruised to a huge 38-14 win on Thursday night against the Washington Redskins that has put them closer to contending for a playoff spot.

Things could be heading further in the right direction next week as team owner Jerry Jones voiced during an interview on 05.3 The Fan's G-Bag Nation show [KRLD-FM] on Friday that he believes Pro Bowl linebacker Sean Lee should be in line to make his return next week against the New York Giants, according to Jon Machota of SportsDay.

Jones is expecting linebacker Sean Lee to return from his hamstring injury and play next week. Lee has missed the last three games because of the setback.

Thursday night's game was the first time the Cowboys have won without Lee in the lineup since 2014.

“He's feeling good,” Jones said. “He's do everything possible to be ready to go. I feel good about him.”

Lee has missed the last three straight games due to a hamstring injury that he suffered back on Nov. 12 in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He has proven to be a huge factor defensively for the Cowboys over the last few seasons as their leader and player on that side of the ball.

Prior to Thursday's win, the Cowboy had lost six straight games dating back to the 2015 campaign. Lee has dealt with the injury bug throughout much of his career missing 42 games over his eight-year career.

Through the first four games without him on the field, the Cowboys gave up 156 yards rushing per contest while opponents averaged 33.8 points. His return should take off pressure from rookie Jaylon Smith, who leads the team with 71 tackles.
