The Dallas Cowboys arrived in Oxnard, California on Monday for the training camp, which officially begins on Wednesday. By no surprise, there will be some limitations for certain players who are battling or recovering from injuries.

Tony Pollard is expected to be ready to go, while the same can be said for Terence Steele, although he could be limited to start. Jourdan Lewis meanwhile will be on the PUP.

Via Todd Archer:

“From a health perspective, Jourdan Lewis (foot) is looking at opening camp on the physically unable to perform list. Terence Steele (knee) is not expected to be on PUP but Cowboys will be smart with him in return. Tony Pollard (ankle) will be good to go.”

Pollard, who is now the clear-cut RB1 after the departure of Ezekiel Elliott, underwent ankle surgery back in January after suffering a scary injury against the San Francisco 49ers. But, he's had ample time to recover and should be healthy throughout camp, barring any setbacks. Pollard rushed for over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career in 2022, including nine touchdowns. Big things are expected out of him.

Lewis, one of the Cowboys' key cornerbacks, sustained a Lisfranc injury (foot) at the beginning of the season and never played again in 22′. That did happen in October though, therefore he should participate in camp at some point.

As for Steele, he suffered a torn ACL in December, which proved to be a brutal blow for Dak Prescott's offensive line. While he is expected to be a participant in camp, there is no question the Cowboys will be very cautious with him.
