America's Team, better known as the Dallas Cowboys, is always in the headlines. However, the headlines have recently been focused on how good this team could be this season. In a loaded NFC, the Cowboys are one of the few teams with a real chance to come out to reach the Super Bowl.

Many believe this season is the year Dallas must win the super bowl, due to the fact that majority of their young core have large contract extension on the horizon, and Dallas won't be able to fit everyone under the salary cap.

For Cowboys fans, some of these predictions below may not seem to be that bold. Yet, many of these predictions will be the key to whether or not the Cowboys reach their goal of winning a Super Bowl title.

The following is a list of five bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys entering the 2019-2020 NFL season.

Win NFC East

Step one on the road to trying to win a Super Bowl is winning the division. The reason this is a bold prediction is because the Cowboys play in the NFC East. For starters, Dallas will have to try to win the division over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia has one of, if not the most complete roster in the NFL. In addition, they will presumably have their franchise quarterback Carson Wentz back for the full season. But if the Cowboys can with against the Eagles both times this season, as they did last, the division can be theirs.

Despite the lack of talent Washington and the New York Giants have on paper, they always play the Cowboys tough. Expect a dogfight from both teams especially when Dallas is the road team.

Win the NFC

Winning the NFC East may not be that bold, but winning the NFC certainly is. The NFC  is littered with Super Bowl contenders. There is the aforementioned Eagles, but additionally there is the Saints, Rams, and Bears to deal with. Not to mention, long shot Super Bowl contenders like the Packers, Panthers, Falcons, Vikings and Seahawks.

The Cowboys have failed to go beyond the divisional round of the playoffs since 1996, which is actually the 1995 season when they won the Super Bowl. Regardless, Dallas has the pieces to win the NFC this season.

Dallas has a complete team with the only question being the play of their quarterback. If Ezekiel Elliot plays and stays healthy, Dallas will have a top rushing offense. Amari Cooper is a true number one receiver and should have a great season in his second year in the Cowboys offense.

Meanwhile, the defense, which ranked in the top six in almost all defensive categories last season, is returning all its key players, so there is no reason to expect a drop-off in their level of play. If Dallas can secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs, they will win the NFC and play in super bowl 54.

Will Pay Zeke, Dak and Amari this season

The biggest talking point on the Cowboys this offseason has been on who will be getting a contract extension. So far, Demarcus Lawrence and Jaylon Smith are the two to get contract extensions. However, there are three stars on the Cowboys who have yet to sign contract extensions.

Those three players being quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliot and wide receiver Amari Cooper. Cowboys general manager and owner Jerry Jones has made it clear he wants to sign all three to an extension.

“Just know that like so many things, it'll happen. It'll happen,” Jones said. “There literally is no concern on my part at all about any time frame. That'll happen.” Jones said via NFL.com

While Prescott and Cooper's contract negotiations have been quiet, Elliot's has been at the top of news headlines.

Here is the latest on Elliot's contract negotiations via Adam Schefter on twitter:

Number one defense

With star young talent at all three levels on defense, the Cowboys will dominate on that side of the ball in the 2019 NFL season.

Dallas didn't make many changes to their defense, in fact they loss defensive lineman David Irving, they didn't really need to add anyone. Getting Earl Thomas who they were rumored to get in free agency would've been great, but Dallas is trusting in their young talent.

As last season progress and those young players gained experience, the Cowboys defense became better. No better example of that is in their matchup with the Saints last year, when New Orleans had the number one scoring offense. Dallas held them to 10 points and gave out a defensive blueprint on how to slow down the Saints.

Returning basically the same defense will benefit the Cowboys tremendously. Expect Dallas to be number one in rushing yards allowed, and points per game. With superstars like Byron Jones, and Leighton Vander Esch leading the way, Dallas will have the NFL's best defense this season.

Dak will have top 10 QB numbers

There are two contrasting opinions on Dak Prescott. Either you believe he is a franchise level quarterback and should be paid like one. The other, he isn't a franchise level quarterback, holding the Cowboys back from reaching their full potential.

No matter your opinion Dak, he is in a contract year. Meaning, he needs to play well in order to increase his bargaining price. But, if he is paid during the season, his play will need to validate the money the Cowboys have invest in him.

In order to have top 10 quarterback numbers, Prescott will have to have at least 4,600 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and a QB rating of at least 100. The Cowboys as always will be a very interesting team to watch and cover. So lets see which one of these bold predictions will come true.
