Longtime ESPN host Dan Le Batard is still raking in the cash after leaving the network at the beginning of the year.

Le Batard has struck a $50 million deal with DraftKings for the distribution of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, per Benjamin Mullin of the Wall Street Journal:

The digital entertainment and gaming company agreed to pay at least $50 million over three years to distribute a popular sports and pop-culture podcast hosted by former ESPN host Dan Le Batard, people familiar with the matter said. DraftKings is looking to make money on the deal by selling advertising and sub-licensing the podcast to radio stations and other audio providers, other people said.

Mullin reported DraftKings will license the podcast to numerous distributors on a “nonexclusive basis,” reflecting Le Batard's wishes to have his content available to as many people as possible. It is the first major licensing deal struck by Meadowlark Media, which was founded by Dan Le Batard and former ESPN president John Skipper after the former left the worldwide leader.

This is DraftKings' latest venture into sports media and podcasts. The digital entertainment and gaming company previously struck an agreement with Vegas Sports Information Network, which features hosts such as Brent Musberger.

The new deal, according to Mullins, should result in an expansion of the Meadowlark brand. The company is expected to increase its output in terms of content and hire new hosts for new shows. For DraftKings, Dan Le Batard marks yet another foray into sports media after just recently striking a big deal with the NFL.
