Marvel Studios recently released the much-anticipated trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine.

The scene opens with Hugh Jackman in Logan's trademark elongated sideburns sitting at a bar, with the bartender being less than welcoming. He literally says, “You're not welcome here. You're not welcome anywhere.”

Then Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds in full costume) leans against the bar and greets him, “Hi, peanut.”

The Merc with the Mouth tries to drag Wolverine out of his chair. Logan goes on the defense instantly and clenches his fist. However, his claws only partially come out. Like 1/8th of it.

Apparently, the scientific measurement for this, at least according to Deadpool, is “whiskey dick of the claws.” Also, “It's common in Wolverines over 40.”

Just for age comparison: Reynolds is 47; Jackman is 55.

Wolverine still doesn't want to go with him, so Deadpool pulls out a gun and the camera focuses on the muzzle. The yellow letters read right below the sight, “Smile.” And below that, “Wait for the flash.”

And off we go.

The scene changes to a desolate wasteland and the beginning strains of Like a Prayer start to play. We finally (well, formally since this is the officially trailer) see Wolverine in his iconic yellow suit.

“I'm about to lose everything I care about,” Deadpool intones as we see the clip shown in CinemaCon of his birthday party where he's just Wade Wilson.

“Not my f***ing problem,” Wolverine replies as he walks away.

But Deadpool isn't about to let him go.

“Is that what you said when your world went to s**t?” he asks.

We then see Logan fall to his knees on overgrown grass with monoliths on just off the screen.

Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) tells Deadpool, while gesturing to Wolverine lying facedown on what looks like a TVA floor, “This Wolverine let down his entire world.”

Cut to the two superheroes (antiheroes?) fighting. Wolverine has his full claws out and deliver an uppercut to Deadpool's private parts, strategically framed right in the middle of the screen. Wade gets his own back by most likely emptying his bullets into Logan's sides.

Then we move to a now maskless Deadpool asking questions like a therapist (who works for Marvel) would, “Want to talk about what's haunting you, or should we wait for a third act flashback?”

And arguably my favorite part of the trailer, Wolverine walks out from the side followed by Deadpool, all in slow motion, while the first lines of Like a Prayer starts playing.

The scene gets interrupted by Wade saying, “I don't know anything about saving worlds, but you do!” to Logan, while the two of them in a car.

And in another scene, I believe they're camping somewhere because Jackman is lit by what seems like a bonfire, Wolverine says, “Trust me, kid, I'm no hero.”

And we're back to the diner where Wade insists, “You were an X-Man. You were the X-Man.”

Then we see Wolverine's claws now fully extending, while Deadpool alternately fights soldiers in armor and Wolverine as well.

Emma Corrin makes a very brief blink-and-you-will-definitely-miss-it first appearance as Cassandra Nova in the midst of the fighting montage. We do, however, see her again a few seconds later when she says, “Boys are so silly.”

We also get a glimpse of Nova's base that looks like repurposed giant Ant-Man's head. Speaking of the base, we also see other Marvel characters who appeared in previous X-Men movies.

If you pause at just the right time in that wide shot, I think Lady Deathstrike is there. I say that because I saw the claws and she's near the stairs. On the right, I believe that's Azazel. I only recognize him due to his red skin.

More montages ensue and Dogpool makes an appearance as well, licking Deadpool's face much to Logan's disgust.

Both Deadpool and Wolverine say what could be the tagline of the film: “Let's f***ing go!” or LFG.

In the trailer's pseudo end credit scene (that's what I'm calling it anyway), Bind Al and blonde Wade trade cocaine street names, going against Marvel boss Kevin Feige's rules.

As far as trailers go, it's definitely Deadpool-coded. And I'm relieved that even though I enjoyed it, I'm still not sure what the movie's all about — which, in my opinion, is what trailers should be.

What we do know is that this Wolverine is most definitely maybe not the same Wolverine in 2017's Logan. Why? Because 1) he's alive, 2) he's wearing the yellow suit, 3) for the plot.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters July 26.
