Denmark superstar attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen suffered a horrific health scare less than a year ago during the Euro 2020 tournament while playing in front of his home fans at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. Eriksen collapsed after experiencing cardiac arrest in the middle of the game, in what was a terrifying scene. He's since made a full recovery and re-joined his Danish teammates for their clash against Serbia on Tuesday. Just 290 days since his cardiac arrest at the very same stadium, Eriksen gave Denmark a 3-0 lead with a sensational goal, effectively sealing the win for his country.

In the 57th minute of the match, Eriksen received a pass on the edge of the box. He made two nice touches and set himself up perfectly for a strike to the near post, beating the Serbian goalkeeper to give the Danes a three-goal advantage.

It was an incredible moment for the 30-year-old midfielder, and the crowd erupted in a chorus of cheers and applause for their beloved star. It's remarkable that less than a full calendar year since his near-fatal health scare, Eriksen managed to put the cherry on top of Denmark's 3-0 win with the well-placed strike.

What he means to the country of Denmark could be seen by the reaction from the crowd as Eriksen found the back of the net. Fans were up out of their seats and clearly delighted for the former Tottenham star, who is currently playing in the Premier League for Brentford, a side that rosters many of his Danish compatriots. His teammates were equally delighted, having experienced his incident first-hand, and now playing a role in his miraculous recovery.
