Things are not looking good for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson after being forced to exit Thursday night's 22-21 victory against the New York Giants. Jackson was caught in a late tackle courtesy of Giants cornerback Madre Harper, and Jackson had to be carted off the field moments later.

After the game, the Eagles WR took to his Instagram stories to share a photo of himself in a walking boot. He also accompanied the image with a caption stating, “Pray for me y’all!!” (h/t Curtis CRabtree of NBC Sports).

Jackson was given the responsibility of having to return a key punt late in the game, which in the benefit of hindsight, wasn't exactly a good idea. The 33-year-old veteran got hit hard on the play — or the aftermath, technically — which resulted in him not being able to put any weight on his right leg. The three-time Pro-Bowler had to be helped to the sidelines, and eventually carted off the field.

D-Jax had just recovered from a hamstring issue that had him sidelined since Week 3, and Thursday night was his first game back for the Eagles. Jackson wasn't really able to make his mark in this one, though, and the fact that he had to exit due to injury only makes matters worse for him.

A recent report from Adam Schefter provided an update on the WR's status:

Injuries have been a major concern for Jackson at this point in his career, and it remains to be seen if this latest leg injury will keep him out of action for an extended period.
