The Phoenix Suns will be playing shorthanded once again on Tuesday when they face the Atlanta Hawks.

Already without Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, and Leandro Barbosa in their backcourt, it's now been reported that their leading scorer and starting shooting guard, Devin Booker, will not see action as he is apparently suffering from an ankle injury.

Only in his second season in the league, the 20-year-old Kentucky product has been proving that he can be a star in the future. He has already impressed a lot of people in his rookie year and has now raised his game to a higher level with averages of 21.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 34.8 minutes per game.

Despite the Suns' disappointing year, Booker has been one of their bright spots. Just last week, he became the youngest player in NBA history to score at least 60 points as he finished their game against the Boston Celtics with 70, on 21-of-40 shooting, including 4-of-11 from beyond the arc.

Tyler Ulis, Jared Dudley, newly signed Jarell Eddie, and Derrick Jones, who's listed to start for the Suns, are all expected to see extended minutes on the court as they try to fill in the void left by Booker. Even if they have no chance of making the playoffs, the Suns are still looking to finish the year strong and have some momentum on their side that they can bring with them to the summer.
