The Indianapolis Colts brought in wide receiver Devin Funchess to give them another serious weapon in the passing game. However, they have not really gotten to see much of him.

In Week 1, Funchess caught three passes for 32 yards before breaking his clavicle. He has not appeared in a game since then.

That being said, Funchess has returned to practice. So there is a pretty clear light at the end of the tunnel. It appears he likely will not be playing in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars though.

The Colts are 5-4, and heading into a game with AFC South division rivals, the 4-5 Jaguars. What's crazy is how close the entire division is.

Jacksonville is in last place with that 4-5 record. They are right behind the 5-5 Tennessee Titans and the 5-4 Colts. Finally, the Houston Texans are in first with a 6-3 record.

So following this week, Indianapolis could find themselves in last place, or sitting in first.

That obviously means these last few weeks of the season are of vital importance. Literally anyone in the AFC South can win the division, or find themselves in last on the final day of the year.

For the Colts, having someone like Devin Funchess back in the mix could definitely help point the needle in their direction a little bit more.

That being said, if he's not healthy yet, no need to rush him back. With how tight this division is, Indianapolis will still be in the race next week, and the week after that.

Making sure they don't rush back Funchess is the right move. Let him get 100% healthy, then he can come back and help the Colts for that final push.
