The Golden State Warriors will see both Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee become free agents, which could leave them without a legitimate man in the middle.

While the two centers are likely to re-sign with the team, another option for the Warriors in the open market is Dewayne Dedmon.

Dedmon is coming off his best season so far after playing 76 games for the San Antonio Spurs where he averaged 5.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. He started in 37 games for Gregg Popovich, proving his worth as an athletic big man.

In McGee and Pachulia, the Warriors have an interchangeable frontcourt duo that offers shot blocking and physicality on the court. But Dedmon is a most intriguing prospect for Bob Myers as he combines those two traits in him, giving his team the best of both worlds if he ends up in Golden State.

Dedmon’s possible arrival in the Bay Area hinges on the development surrounding Andre Iguodala’s free agency, which obviously requires more attention from the Warriors’ camp at this stage.

The 7-foot big man had a short stint with the Warriors back in the 2013-2014 season, but it was a very forgettable one which saw him play in only four games for an average of one minute on the floor.
