Trevor Bauer has been issued a record long 324 game suspension without pay by MLB. The league conducted it's investigation and believes that Bauer is in violation of the league's Join Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse Policy. As expected. Trevor Bauer is appealing the suspension.

Bob Nightengale posted the official release.

The reaction from around the MLB world was immediate and drew drastically different responses. Some believe that the suspension is far too harsh after all criminal charges were dropped against him while others think MLB got this one right.

Sports show host Clay Travis shared this thoughts on the Bauer ruling.

“I mean, MLB has suspended Trevor Bauer for a year for one woman’s accusation. The NFL hasn’t done anything to Deshaun Watson for 24 women’s accusations. The cases aren’t very similar. I’ve always been anti all leagues suspending players for non-sports related issues. Still am. But don’t see how Bauer isn’t allowed to play at this point.”

Fox Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander shared an emoji that conveys his thoughts on the situation.

The Dodgers released a statement on the breaking news.
