The Miami Dolphins got off to a solid start in their Monday Night Football showdown with the New Orleans Saints, but team legend Larry Csonka was nowhere near impressed.

Miami led 10-3 at the half, as the Saints struggled to get anything going on the offensive end with third-string QB Ian Book playing. However, that is also the main reason why the Hall of Famer was slightly disappointed with the result. After all, it's a game the Dolphins could have easily dominated.

On Twitter, Csonka shared how the scores shouldn't have been close as they were after two quarters of football action.

Indeed as Larry Csonka said, with the Saints missing their Top 3 QBs in Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian, as well as a slew of other players, the Dolphins should have dominated the contest right from the off.

With that said and considering everything, one could say that it was a relatively underwhelming and slow performance for Miami in the first half.

Fortunately, though, the Dolphins seemed to have wakened up in the second half and managed to extend their lead in the third quarter while still limiting the Saints offense.

The Dolphins really needed a win in the Week 16 showdown, having entered the affair tied with a 7-7 record. A win and a defeat in the game have huge playoff implications, so it certainly benefits the Miami franchise that they faced an undermanned New Orleans team.
