Everybody knows that the Miami Dolphins have already given up on this season. The fact that they traded a number of important players for draft picks is a sign that they are looking towards next year. However, current QB1 Ryan Fitzpatrick wonders why the team hasn't addressed the trades that have gone through over the past couple of months.

In an interview with Miami Herald's Adam H. Beasley, he said that the organization must talk to the players to explain their logic and clear the air.

“The elephant in the room. There are certain things, whether it’s the Minkah trade or Laremy [Tunsil] or Kenny [Stills] or dropping the ball or throwing an interception that some people treat them as taboo, but you have to be open about it and put everything out there and knowing guys are going to make mistakes, but maybe getting to the root of why it’s happening,” he said. “I just think as a whole, overcommunicating on all that and getting it out there is an important thing.”

He also touched on the fact that it's only a matter of time before Josh Rosen gets handed the keys to the kingdom and he becomes his backup. His experience playing for various NFL teams has helped him prepare for that inevitability.

“I’ve seen it every way,” Fitzpatrick said. “I truly have. … There’s a million things and ways it’s happened in my career. For me, always being ready and knowing that when I have my opportunity, I have to go out there and do my best.”

Fitzpatrick hasn't had the greatest start to his fifteenth year in the NFL He has notched the lowest completion rate of his career yet at 50%. He is also on pace to throw more than 10 interceptions if he gets significant reps for the remainder of the season.

However, all he can do is keep his head down and keep on playing. Even if it's for a team that's on its way to becoming the NFL's worst.
