Big man touchdown alert! Miami Dolphins defensive end Christian Wilkins was inserted on offense on Sunday in his team's Week 16 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, scoring on a goal line touchdown reception from Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Christian Wilkins, a 24-year-old rookie defensive lineman who was selected by Miami in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Clemson, appearing in actually his second ever offensive snap today. However, this time around the first-year full-time defensive end and part-time receiver caught his first career NFL reception—and for a scoreless, tie-breaking touchdown against the Bengals.

Sunday's contest between the Dolphins and Bengals is more a matchup for pride (or draft positioning, if that suits you). Neither team can earn a playoff spot in the AFC, so it appears first-year Dolphins head coach Brian Flores thought he could pull out a trick play and give his rookie defensive end a touchdown catch before the end of the dismal season.
