Toronto Raptors partner and Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake already appears to be instilling hoop dreams in his son.

Drake shared a video of his three-year-old son Adonis shooting on a mini-hoop, with Adonis counting his buckets.

Drake, whose legal name is Aubrey Graham, has been a “global ambassador” for the Toronto Raptors since 2013. He and his OVO group also have an established partnership with the franchise.

The superstar artist is quite visible at Raptors home games, sometimes joining team broadcasts and even chirping at opposing stars. He also shouted out former Raptors star Toronto Raptors on one of his latest singles, “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.” That song also makes multiple references to Adonis.

Maybe one day Drake will be able to watch his son take the floor at a higher level of basketball. For now, he has to watch his Raptors struggle just to stay in the playoff picture.

Toronto is coming off a shocking 53-point drubbing over the Golden State Warriors, but the win improved the Raptors to just 19-30 on the season. They are 11th in the Eastern Conference and 1.5 games back of the 10th-seeded Chicago Bulls for the final spot in the play-in tournament.

The Raptors' struggles have been quite surprising after the team finished with the No. 2 seed in the East at the end of the 2019-20 regular season. But Toronto has lacked rebounding and frontcourt scoring. There have also been multiple instances of internal turmoil, specifically with respect to riffs between head coach Nick Nurse and Pascal Siakam.

Drake might not have the chance to watch his Raptors take the floor for playoff action if Toronto cannot get it together for the final stretch. But at least he can help hone Adonis' jumper.
