Ever since teaming up, Draymond Green has always had DeMarcus Cousins' back. That stayed true after the Golden State Warriors' 121-110 win over the Charlotte Hornets Monday night.

During his media scrum, Green reacted to a technical foul called on Cousins after the latter apparently threw away Jeremy Lamb's shoe, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News.

“That’s crazy. It was sitting in the middle of the floor. We have all these rules about player safety. You can barely contest a shot without getting a foul. But you’re supposed to leave a shoe sitting there. But it is what what is.”

Green is basically echoing Cousins' sentiment. The All-Star center is coming off an Achilles injury, making every slip or mishap on the floor a cause for concern for him and the Warriors.

The All-Star center had his first 30-minute game of the season and he made the most out of this breakthrough. Cousins finished the game with 24 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three blocks.

For his part, Green also showed off an all-around production that has been his staple for years. Despite hurting his ankle the other night against the Houston Rockets, the former Defensive Player of the Year still contributed 14 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, and three blocks.

Cousins' progress will likely be monitored by Steve Kerr and the rest of the coaching staff but his play against Charlotte goes to show just how deadlier the Warriors are going to be when he finally gets back into top shape.
