Draymond Green is known for a lot of things.

He is arguably the vocal leader of the 73-9 Golden State Warriors and is considered to be one of the most versatile players in the NBA. At just 6-foot-7, Green frequently plays center for the best team in the league.

Having said that, it might be easy to forget that Green was just a second-round draft pick back in 2012. Due to the fact that he was considered a tweener, the Michigan State product was drafted with the No. 35 overall pick.

It doesn't come as a shock that Green uses this as motivation to be a great player. What comes as a shock is that he remembers all 34 players that were drafted before him in 2012.

Via The San Jose Mercury News:

“First was Anthony Davis to New Orleans,” he says. “Then Charlotte took (Michael) Kidd-Gilchrist. Then Washington took Bradley Beal. Fourth was Cleveland: Dion Waiters.

Eight was Toronto: Terrence Ross …

Sixteen was Houston: Royce White …

By the time he's done, Green has reeled off the names of all 34 players selected ahead of him and the corresponding team.

In order.”

Fast forward four years later and Green is now an All-Star and an NBA champion. While he's certainly one of the top players in the NBA at the age of 26, there is no doubt that he'll use the fact that he was a late-round draft pick as motivation for the rest of his NBA career.
