Despite going up a commanding 3-0 series lead on the second winningest team in the West, the San Antonio Spurs, forward Draymond Green is hesitant to count his chickens before they hatch, claiming it's not inevitable for his Golden State Warriors to make the NBA Finals at this point.

“No, it's not inevitable,” Green told Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post. “We've lost a lead before.”

The Warriors still have somewhat of a sour taste in their mouths after squandering a 3-1 lead in the Finals, seeing the Cleveland Cavaliers rise from the dead and take the last three games to clinch their first-ever NBA Championship.

If both of these teams keep at the same pace, a collision course seems rather destined to take place with both squads throttling the competition.

A third straight meeting in the NBA Finals would be a first in history and offer the Cavaliers the opportunity to become repeat champions and the Warriors the bragging rights to win a best-out-of-three finals run — a luxury that no team has had before.

Yet, whether Kawhi Leonard rejoins the Spurs at all this postseason is yet to be seen, and if he does for Game 4, Golden State would be silly to call the series over in San Antonio's home floor.
