Draymond Green doesn't just like to talk on the court. He's known to send a lot of texts as well.

Especially when it's Kevin Durant on the other end, and the former MVP and scoring champ is considering joining your team.

Here's what Green revealed in a recent video interview with DraftKings:

“Once July 1st hit, I did. I had sent so many texts to him over those last three days, I’m not sure the exact amount of number. I can’t even give you a ballpark, I just know it was too many. But it worked, so I’m all right with that.”

Reports came out later that Durant was friendly toward Warriors players in the Western Conference finals. That bothered some people, in particular Russell Westbrook.

Green maintains that that's not what happened, and that he and KD weren't talking much to each other in the playoffs.

“Me and KD weren’t really talking during the playoffs. During the playoffs, it’s a little different. More is at stake. So we weren’t talking much, and that’s normal. I heard something come out where they said, ‘Oh, Kevin Durant and Draymond were talking during the playoffs,’ they were lying. But if that’s what they want to believe, if that makes them feel better about themselves — when I say them, I’m talking about whoever, whoever’s saying it — then believe it. But they’re wrong.”

Durant definitely had somewhat of a relationship with the Warriors players before this summer, that much is clear. The writing may have been on the wall when it comes to his departure as well.

Green's recruitment definitely played a part, too. He was blowing up his phone with texts while Westbrook wasn't showing up to the meetings KD had with the Thunder.
