Furthermore, it even includes the highly coveted Heisman trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player. Now your kickers in Dynasty mode will have more to fight for than just stats. Without further ado, let's take a look.

The Lou Groza Award Will Be In EA Sports College Football 25

The Lou Groza Award will be in College Football 25. This annual award is presented to the best college football placekicker by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. Since 1992, this award has been presented to kickers we've seen do well in collegiate and professional football. From players like Sebastian Janikowski, Graham Gano, and Cairo Santos, several notable players have earned this prestigious award.

George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, spoke about the exciting opportunity. “EA Sports College Football 25 is one of the most anticipated and long-awaited video game titles in history and we are incredibly excited that the Lou Groza Award will be a part of the game. The Lou Groza Award is the pinnacle of collegiate football kicking, and we could not be more excited that college football fans from around the world will have a chance to vie for a Groza Award of their own.”

The award itself is named after former Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Brown Lou Gorza. The Hall-Of-Fame kicker enjoyed an extremely succesful career that saw the Browns become four-time NFL Champions. Perhaps the greatest moment of his career came in the form of the game-winning field goal in the 1950 NFL Championship. Groza could kick field goals from 50 yards or further during a time when kicking was a lot different in the NFL.

Nowadays, we see more kickers using the sides of their feet when kicking the ball. It's similar to Soccer, and has produced in much more accurate and powerful kicks. Nowadays, people might look at Groza's stats and think “so what?”. However, you have to consider that Groza used the top of his foot to kick instead. It was this kicking style that allowed him to help his team score several times in his career.

Groza passed away in 2000, but his legacy as a kicker lives on. Every year, the NCAAF remembers Groza as league's new best placekicker receives an award for their efforts. It's a great way of celebrating the circle of life in Football.

Furthermore, this is great for EA College Football 25. It adds more authenticity to the game, and gives players something to strive for towards the end of the season. So make sure you recruit the best kickers in Dynasty, or else this award won't be yours.

Overall, that's everything you need to know about the Lou Groza Award in College Football 25. We hope to see more awards make their way into the game, and the Lou Groza award is a great start.
