The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-1 after two games, and had it not been for a thrilling comeback win over the Washington Redskins in Week 1, they would be 0-2 and in serious danger of missing the playoffs.
But maybe the Eagles are still in danger regardless of their record.
Philadelphia fell to the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 24-20 on Sunday night, falling behind 17-6 early on. The Eagles rallied to take a 20-17 lead, but a 54-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones gave the Falcons an edge they would not relinquish.
Obviously, slow starts have been a big problem for Philly thus far, and quarterback Carson Wentz isn't sure why:

By no means making excuses but we were trying to figure out who we had out there and get guys in the right position. I think the coaches did a good job of that, we just have to execute better. We’ll take a hard look at it. I know we say that all the time. But that’s what we’ll do.”
Wentz had a rough outing on Sunday evening, completing 25 of his 43 passes for 231 yards, a touchdown and a couple of interceptions. In his defense, the Eagles lost wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery to injuries, but it was just a tough performance in general for Wentz.
The Eagles will get the chance to right the ship next weekend when they host the Detroit Lions.
