DeSean Jackson was a huge part of the Week 1 win for the Philadelphia Eagles. He made a huge impact in his return to the franchise with eight catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Redskins. Unfortunately, his impact will be put on hold for a couple of weeks.

According to a report from Tim McManus of ESPN, Jackson will likely miss the next two weeks due to an abdominal strain that he suffered against the Atlanta Falcons.

Carson Wentz and the Eagles ended up suffering a heartbreaking loss to the Falcons on Sunday night. It was a hard-fought game all the way, but the Eagles came up short on a last-minute drive and lost.

Jackson is going to be a massive key for the offense moving forward this season. His speed and ability to make plays in the open field are what separates him from most other receivers in the game. Philadelphia cannot afford to be without him for too much longer.

Hopefully, this abdominal strain does not have any setbacks and two weeks is all his misses. If that is the case, Jackson will miss games against the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. His return would come against the New York Jets.

Expect to see the Eagles struggle a bit without their speedy wide receiver on the field. Nelson Agholor will be asked to handle a much larger role, but he can't make the kind of plays that Jackson is capable of making.
