Two years removed from being Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles are sitting at 5-7 — a disappointing season that was recently highlighted by an embarrassing 37-31 loss to the then 2-9 Miami Dolphins.

Philadelphia held a 21-14 lead at half time in the game on Sunday. The Eagles defense then faltered in the second half allowing 21 points to a Miami team that ranks 30th in the NFL in yards per game.

Following the loss, Eagles head coach took the time to shift the blame towards himself.

“Our discipline, our consistency, the lack of that that showed up in this football game, that's on me,” Pederson said on WIP radio. “That's on me. And that's why i'm disappointed. I felt like and I think most people felt like we were the better football team … Having watched (the tape) again this morning, it's not who we are, it's not who I am as a coach, it's not how we teach things. It starts with me and I have to fix things this week heading into the Giants game.”

Despite giving up 37 points to one of the worst offenses in the NFL, it's the Eagles offense that has struggled the most in 2019.

The Eagles offense ranks 20th in the league in yards per game and have failed to score more than 24 points in seven of the team's 12 games this season.

The team has dealt with various injuries on the offense this season. Most notably, receivers Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson and Nelson Agholor, running back Jordan Howard and offensive lineman Lane Johnson have all missed time this year due to injury.
