Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz isn't playing his best football — and that's being generous. On Monday night, Wentz and the Eagles had a daunting task of going up against the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks. In true Carson Wentz fashion, he put up another dud. Though they tried to claw their way back in this one, the Eagles ultimately fell short and lost 23-17 against the visiting Seahawks.

Wentz had another bad day. He completed only 25 of 45 passes and was clearly outclassed by his QB counterpart, Russell Wilson. The 27-year old's evening was perfectly summed up by the embarrassing interception he threw in the final quarter which landed perfectly to Seattle's Quandre Diggs.

Thing is, Diggs didn't have to break a sweat with this one and Twitter wasn't having it (h/t to USA Today).

Yikes. To be completely fair, Wentz has been consistent all-season long for the Eagles. His consistency though is on how bad he's been playing every time he steps on the field. That Diggs interception was Wentz' 15th of the season which is the worst in any QB in the league right now.

The former Super Bowl champ was also already leading the league in sacks (40) coming into Wednesday's match where he was sacked again for six more times. He's now been sacked for a total of 46 times which is his worst record in his five years in the league and the Eagles still have a few games remaining this season.

Should the Eagles save Wentz from all this misery and pull him out?

The Eagles face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers next week. The Eagles, despite being 3-7-1, are just half a game behind Washington and the New York Giants for the NFC East lead. The Eagles are done with the Giants but host Washington and visit the Dallas Cowboys in divisional play down the stretch.

Just a small amount of improvement at quarterback could enable the Eagles to defend their division title.
