Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman just wrapped up what many already believe to be a very successful weekend. With the 2019 NFL Draft now a thing of the past, Roseman was certainly able to bolster his team's roster while securing a slew of highly talented players — former Penn State Nittany Lions running back Miles Sanders included.

Despite the fact that Sanders has yet to even play a single down of NFL football, Roseman obviously likes what he has seen from the soon-to-be rookie rusher, who shined at the collegiate level during his time at Penn State. Not only is Roseman excited to have been able to draft Sanders but the Eagles front office executive believes that there are some similarities between Sanders and current Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, who infamously began his career in the “City of Brotherly Love.”

“[Sanders] reminded us of some other players we’ve had around here,” Roseman recently said without truly naming any names, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

The Eagles newcomer seemingly agrees with Roseman that McCoy was a great player for Philadelphia, though Sanders expects to outshine the current Bills running back when all is said and done.

“Yeah, I’ve seen LeSean McCoy come through Philly and put on,” Sanders added, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. “He did great for the Eagles, but I’m looking forward to doing even better. Really, I’m just looking forward to coming in and producing and doing whatever I can to help this team get another championship.”

Of course, Sanders will now join an Eagles franchise that is just a few years removed from its first-ever Super Bowl title. With the 2019-20 campaign now looming, the Eagles are looking to make it three straight trips to the postseason.
