Through his first three years in the league as a head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Doug Pederson has earned respect from his players about his coaching style and personality.

Former Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Bennett has spoken highly about Pederson voicing that he has earned his respect because of how he treats his players as being more than just athletes, according to Rob Maaddi of The Associated Press.

These qualities have helped him endear himself to his players at a deeper level because of that connection. It is a quality that most highly successful coaches in any sport have usually strived in that has allowed for them to have a tighter bond with their players that exceed the sport. It is something that Bennett has quickly noticed about Pederson that has stood out in his first several months with the team. This may have been a huge quality in what helped the team jell together to earn their first Super Bowl.

At the same time, it also shows how much Bennett has bought into Pederson as a head coach with his belief that he can lead them to success and want to push forward to win under him. The Eagles may be out to a rough start to the 2018 season dropping three out of their first five games, but there doesn't appear to be any issues with the coaching staff or the leadership that Pederson has put forth for his team.

This is a tough test that the Eagles will have to push through in order to get back into the playoff picture that will begin with a crucial matchup on Thursday night against the New York Giants. The outcome of this game could be quite indicative of how the rest of the season will unfold for Philadelphia.
