Philadelphia Eagles' cornerback Jalen Mills was arrested for a fight with Washington Wizards forward Devin Robinson. The fight led to Robinson being hospitalized while Mills was jailed.

The six-foot, 191-pound Mills was arrested for what was called a disorderly affray by NBC 10. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Robinson was arrested as well but was first taken to the hospital. It is unclear how seriously he was injured.

Mills and Robinson were in the middle of a verbal argument that turned into a fight on the sidewalk next to the Opera Night Club shortly before 3 a.m., according to an arrest report by the Metropolitan Police Department. Jeff McLane of the Phila Inquirer reported that Mills paid a $35 fine and hasn't had a court date set yet.

While the Eagles haven't yet released a statement, the Wizards quickly released one saying Robinson will not be back with the team next season.

“We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions. We will not extend a qualifying offer to him for the 2019-20 season,” the team’s statement said.

Last season, Mills started the first eight games before he was lost for the season with a foot injury. The 24-year-old had nine pass deflections and 42 combined tackles. He was on pace for the best tackling season of his career, but in the 2017 season, his second in the NFL, Mills had three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.

Robinson, also 24 years old, just finished his second season. He played in seven games this season, and eight total in his career. In those seven games, Robinson averaged 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.9 blocks. He went undrafted out of Florida in 2017, and was also with the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League this season.
