The Philadelphia Eagles definitely saw the running back position as a need this offseason. They decided to trade for Jordan Howard and draft Miles Sanders.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com did an analysis on Sanders and compared him to T.J. Yeldon.

Some people tried to find ways to connect Sanders to Saquon Barkley since they both came from Penn State. Yet, they're both vastly different running backs in terms of skill set. That's why Sanders receives comparisons to Yeldon by several analysts.

Being compared to Yeldon shouldn't be viewed in a negative way. The Eagles could use a running back who can be a weapon in the passing game as Yeldon was in Jacksonville.

Just recently, Yeldon signed with the Buffalo Bills, likely assuming the same role he had in Jacksonville. The Eagles will likely utilize Miles Sanders in a way which is similar to what the Jaguars did with Yeldon.

Furthermore, Philadelphia's backfield will probably be modeled like the one the Jaguars had with Leonard Fournette and Yeldon. The Eagles are likely going to use Howard as their workhorse between-the-tackles guy while Sanders is the change-of-pace receiving threat out of the backfield.

This could make the Eagles' offense very dangerous as long as Carson Wentz can avoid the injury bug in 2019. Adding a dynamic back such as Sanders makes an offense with Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz, and Nelson Agholor harder to game plan against.

At first, Eagles fans may see the Yeldon comparison for Sanders through a negative lens, but they should hope Sanders can provide that sort of skill set in his rookie season.
