The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly one of Jadeveon Clowney's preferred trade destinations, and Shannon Sharpe said on Fox Sports' Undisputed that thinks that if the Eagles do land him, the Super Bowl is a wrap:

Clowney has not participated in Houston Texans training camp, as the Texans placed a franchise tag on him at the beginning of the offseason and the two sides were not able to come to terms on a long-term deal.

It's possible that Clowney shows up for Week 1, but right now, it's looking more and more like the pass rusher will simply hold out until Houston moves him, and the Eagles and Seattle Seahawks are said to be his desired landing spots.

Clowney is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played 15 games and totaled 47 tackles, nine sacks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of South Carolina, was originally selected by the Texans with the first overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He appeared in just four contests during his rookie year due to injury, and the following year, he was disappointing, registering just 40 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

But in 2016, Clowney began to show why Houston made him the No. 1 overall pick, tallying 52 tackles and six sacks, making his first Pro Bowl in the process. He then had his best season to date in 2017, racking up 59 tackles, 9.5 sacks, a couple of forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a defensive score.

Whether or not Clowney would make Philadelphia Super Bowl favorites is debatable, but he would certainly make its questionable defense better.
