In wake of Carson Wentz suffering a season-ending torn ACL, the Philadelphia Eagles have turned to backup Nick Foles to step in under center for the rest of the year.

Despite some murmurs of the team considering signing a veteran quarterback with Wentz out, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Eagles are not looking to add another experienced signal-caller to the mix.

With Carson Wentz officially out for the year, the Eagles will proceed with Nick Foles and Nate Sudfeld as the options at quarterback. And the Eagles won’t be adding any veteran quarterback to the depth chart.

Philadelphia currently has two healthy quarterbacks on their roster with Foles and Nate Sudfeld, who is in his second year in the league out of Indiana. Sudfeld signed with the Eagles' practice squad and was promoted to the active roster on November 1st.

The team has voiced great confidence in Foles given his prior success with the team in his first stint. During his efficient 2013 campaign, Foles threw for 2,891 yards, tossed 27 touchdown passes, and only handed out two interceptions. Foles has a difficult assignment in front of him to replace Wentz, who was viewed by many pundits as the frontrunner for the MVP award this season.

The Eagles are set to take on the New York Giants in Week 15, marking their final road game of the regular season, and possibly the year.
